Today the children were very lucky. A group of percussionists performed for years 3 and 5. The children were taken on a journey to explore different percussion instruments from Africa right across to South America. The children particularly enjoyed practising their Salsa and Samba rythmns. We will use them in our music lesson on Friday. Some children in 3 Cherry were even chosen to join in with the professional musicians. The children thoroughly enjoyed themselves.

For the next 3 weeks in literacy we are going to be creating our own adventure story. Our display helps us remember all the different parts of the story that need to make a fantastic adventure story.
u all round the Land of Oz trying to get them back. But you just keep calling me a Wicked Witch and not talking to me. My face only looks evil and green because my Mum drank some weed killer instead of her medicine when she was pregnant with me. You keep running away from me with your friends the Tin Man, Scarecrow and Lion. I am not wicked, I am a good, white witch, I am just upset that you murdered and stole from me. Please, please may I have the slippers back, they are the last thing I have to remind me of my sister and are very precious to me.

All the children can answer the question. Well done particularly to Cerine and Kareem for their authentic accents! Also ask the children about their Spanish Rapping!!!!

We have made some 'Golden Rules' about the way we would like to behave. So far all the children are behaving really well-keep up this GOLDEN BEHAVIOUR :)
In literacy we have been learning about instructions. Last week we followed instructions to make Chinese Lanterns. They look very festive in the corner of our classroom.
