Why do crickets have ears on their legs?????

HELP HELP HELP!!!!!

In class we have a 'Wonder Wall'. Here the children can write on a post-it any question of which they would like to know the answer. I then endeavour to find the answer. But Tafari has a question that I don't know the answer to-can you help?

'Why do crickets have ears on their legs?

ANCIENT GREECE

We are learning about the Ancient Greeks across three subjects this half term. In literacy the children are creating their own Greek quest myth. In art the children are going to create a clay Greek mythical creature, which they will then paint. In history we will be discovering many things about the Ancient Greeks, their Gods and Goddesses, rivalries between Athens and Sparta, the Olympics and many more things.

So far the children are particularly excited about thinking about Greek mythical creatures. See if your children can tell you about each of the creatures below.

The children particularly enjoyed analysing certian features of mythical creatures. For example we watched David Attenborough's 'Life in cold Blood' . We were able to analyse features of lizards such as their scaly skin and we looked at serpents' forked tongues. The programmes can be downloaded from the internet on, just google bbciplayer the programmes can be found on Mondays, just look for Life in 'Cold Blood.'

3 Cherry's Adaption of Little Red Riding Hood.

At the end of last term the children performed a fantastic production of Little Red Riding Hood.
They did everything to get it organised:
* Wrote their own playscripts
* Made the backdrop
*Helped design the flipchart in the background
*Made their own masks
*Acted using their own stage directions
Look at the pictures and try and work out what is happening in the scene.

What can you see in the background?
What a wonderful wolf mask!!!!

Jone Yen acted very well as Little Red Riding Hood

Alaa stepped in at the last minute to cover for a child who was ill. What a fantastic effort! Well done.

Check out Jason the chicken!
